GLASDA is established to implement emergency humanitarian interventions and long-term sustainable development programs in Myanmar. GLASDA's mission is to save lives through timely humanitarian assistance and to strengthen resilient livelihoods and socio-economic well-being for disaster- and conflict-affected families and vulnerable rural communities in Myanmar.

What We Do
Our Objectives
Five core objectives that drive our humanitarian and development work.
Emergency Humanitarian Assistance
To provide timely emergency humanitarian assistance to IDPs due to natural disasters and conflicts.
Recovery and Sustainable Development
To support the recovery and sustainable development of temporarily displaced families, enabling them to rebuild their lives, restore livelihoods, and strengthen community resilience.
Rural Socio-Economic Development
To improve the socio-economic conditions of poor and marginalized rural communities through enhancing their knowledge and skills in agriculture, livestock production, and environmental conservation.
Disaster Risk Reduction & Environmental Stewardship
To strengthen the capacity of rural populations for risk-informed development through disaster risk reduction, climate-smart agriculture, and sustainable natural resource management.
Inclusive, Gender-Responsive Programming
To ensure all programs are non-discriminatory and prioritize the needs of disaster- and conflict-affected populations, with special attention to women, children, and persons with disabilities, while promoting gender equality and protection from exploitation and abuse.

Internally Displaced People
Families and individuals displaced due to climatic shocks or armed conflict.
Vulnerable and Poor Households
Families living in poverty and facing chronic food insecurity.
Smallholder and Marginalized Farmers
Small-scale farmers with limited resources and constrained land access.
Women, Children and Vulnerable Individuals
Including pregnant and lactating mothers, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and those living with HIV or chronic illness.
Forest-Dependent Rural Communities
Rural populations who rely on forest resources for their primary subsistence livelihoods.
Legal Status
Registration Status
GLASDA received its Temporary Registration Certificate from the Union Level Government Registration Board, Ministry of Home Affairs on 22 April 2026. GLASDA is a locally registered NGO at Union Level, covering the majority of states and regions in Myanmar for humanitarian and development interventions.
